Javascript Thumbnail Gallery Help

ok for this website im designing i have a thumbnail gallery and when you click on a thumbnail i made it open a new window "Gallery Viewer" to view the enlarged image, i was able to put a Print and Close button on the "Gallery Viewer" page but i would like to put a Next and Previous buttons as well so i dont have to click on the thumbnail in the other window to view a new image, can anyone help me with adding the Next and Previous buttons to make this work.

I have done galleries before with the Next and Previous buttons working but that was all on one page this is a little more diffucult to do, i do not want it to open a new page each time you click on Next or Previous I would like the next image or previous image to load in the "Gallery Viewer" page which I created.
