I have written a simple link to open a PDF file .. XXXXX (PDF) .. but when tested the link results in a blank screen. Netscape 4 starts Adobe and the PDF opens, no problem. Netscape 7 and IntExp both will not open Adobe but gives a blank page. Is there some magic to get Adobe to start when the PDF link is selected ..?
Perhaps you have not downloaded the plugin for NN7 or IE?

You may be right as I wasn't aware of any special plug-in to help access PDF files. Could you enlighten me ...?
Yes, it requires a special plugin -- the Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can find it here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

I wondered if you meant that plug-in. Acrobat Reader Ver 5. is available when my link is activated but does not open, only a blank screen appears. Clicking on the PDF file in the clear opens Acrobat Reader with no problem and the file appears. However, when using the link within a web page to open the PDF file, Arobate Reader does not open. As I said before, for some unknown reason Acrobat Reader will open if I use Netscape 4.7 browser but not if I use Netscape 7 or IntExp browsers.
