I've set up a forum for freelance web designers (http://forum.xerxiam.com) . Using phpBB I've modified the default skin.
Does it look OK? I wanted to create a forum for the numerous web designers like myself who do small web design jobs. Would such a forum be of use to people in the same position, i.e. need to know pretty much all the various stages of site development.
I didn't want to reproduce this forum as they'd be no point - it all gets covered pretty well. I would like to cover all stages of development though but I'd like more emphasis on getting new work in, SEO, project planning, running a small business etc...
I suppose my main question is whether the topics covered are too broad? too narrow? anything missing? Could it be of any use to anyone. Any thoughts, opinions appreciated.
Also, how would I go about promoting the forum (without spamming forums - which isn't what I'm doing here - honest...)?
The forum is here (http://forum.xerxiam.com)
Thanks
