What do I need to do to save a drawing in a Illustrator 8 format while I am working on Illustrator 9 or Illustrator 10?

The 'Save As' options show only EPS, PDF, and AI options.

The 'Export' options show no AI types

When you Save As the window at the top says the Compatability pull down window. Select your version of Illustrator you wish to save the file as...that simple.
