Geocities Question

Does anybody know what GeoCities supports i looked and it says on the supported files page it supports php and php3 extentions but when i try to do php scripts it dosn't work so somebody please let me know if i can do php on geocities and how. Thank you. :D

I have geocities hosting... (Because of my email address is Yahoo). But I don't get PHP hosting. That's probably only if you pay.

geocities is not a very good host. I don't think the support anything for nonpaying customers. If you are looking for good free hosting go to http://www.flatface.net they host php cgi and I believe jsp and its free. I cant tell you the bandwidth they allow though, but no ads. Also http://europe.webmatrixhosting.net is a great ad free completly free asp.net host that gives you unlimited bandwidth all ad free, they are who I use now. All ftp! For static pages and asp classic, you might look to brinkster. They do 30 mb add free for free and 16.7 daily bandtwidth (thats about 200 hits daily from my experience with them). Those are some good add free hosts that I know of. Also lycos is a free php host (ads) and angelfire hosts cgi, I know they give you access to their bin but I think they allow you to use your own too. Those are just some hosts that i would reccomend looking into depending on what you use.
