Ok, Im working on a site for a local band, and what we want is to create a form, where users can enter their email address's and phone numbers, so that we can then contact them with news/updates,etc.

Can someone please tell me the best way to do this?

I notice that scragar has posted a link to an earlier forum post just above. If you look at that post you will see that he was an IMMENSE help to me in solving a similar query.
Just follow his advice and you will be up and running in no time!
