New to web design and need help with a photo gallery please.

I'm a photographer and I'm trying to build and maintain my Website. I want a Photo gallery that has a shopping cart to purchase my pictures. I do a high volume of pics and I hear that my site is slow for people with dailup. I have a friend that has a site that I would like to pattern mine by, but I don't want him to think I'm copying from him. Can someone take a look at his site and then my site and please tell me what to do. I need it to be as simple as possible.

First of all, you need to remove the music. It is a real turnoff to anyone who does not like trance/techno.

The features you speak of -- a shopping cart and categorised photo gallery -- are widely available from several web-based companies. Trying to tackle them yourself without any programming experience would be extremely difficult, unless, of coarse, your interested in programming and want to further your knowledge.

I suggest you do a google search or get in contact with a local web developer and ask for a quote.
