Wrestling with this flash effect, and losing....

Hey,

I am using ******* to create this really basic flash, and I can't get the typing effect to do what I want. I don't know why they have to make this harder than it should be. I type in a paragraph, break everything apart, then add the typing effect to it, yet, it won't type the letters horizonitally, it wants to type vertically - i.e. the first letter of each row, then the second letter of each row etc. WTF, does it do this? I just want the damn thing to type left to right...left to right...writing out each line in order, instead of trying to piece them all together one at a time.

Can anyone help with this?

OMG,

Hell yea Gentry! That's exactly it! I found a few actionscripts for typing but without the cursor. That one looks nice. I just hope I can write more than one line with it i.e. paragraph, and it will type out the lines in order, and not all at the same time...like ******* tries to do. BTW, if anyone else has this problem, I contacted ******* tech support, and they said the typing effect only works with one line of text. :-( They said they will fix that issue in the next release.
