OK, I know that these forums are affiliated with the JavaScript source. First I want to bring your attention to a new script featured on that site:

http://javascript.internet.com/css/pre-loading-message.html

I created this script, however I did not submit it. Proof that I made it:

http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66724

The credit in the commenting of the code goes to Robert Paulson, although that name appears under my avatar anybody who has seen fight club will know that that is not my real name. I do not mind this, that can stay, however I would like the proper credit I deserve and have a link going to the following address to be associated with the script:

http://www.abrahamjoffe.com.au/

I hope somebody with the correct authority can get back to me.

BigMoosie,

I posted that script myself. You're right, it was posted on these forums, as you pointed out. Because they are owned by Jupitermedia, that gives us the right to re-use the material posted here. I did give credit to what I saw on your posting. I have no idea what the "fight club" is so I would not have any way of knowing your real name.

I have no problem with giving you the proper credit. I have already made the changes on the Web site.

OK, thanks LeeU, I am almost satisfied. What I wanted more was the link to not be inside the source code but also beside the description of the script.

On the indexes of the scripts (not the homepage) website urls are present above each link. This is where I would like to have my link like all the other ones have. It seems you only fixed half the problem: http://javascript.internet.com/new/index.html. For example, besite E-Mail This Page by Jim Stiles there is a link to http://jdstiles.com/.

The reason I want an actual link is because I am trying to get my site a high google ranking, I would be interested in getting a few scripts onto that site for that purpose. Could you give me some advice as to what I should make?

No problem, I've changed it on the new.html page also. I had added it on the index page for the CSS scripts but guess I forgot that one.

As to submitting other scripts, the field is open. I have seen what you've done and you seem to know your stuff. Check out the site and feel free to submit anything you want, as long as we don't have it. Or ... you can submit modifications to an existing one that will enhance the script.

I look forward to your scripts. You can submit them here (http://javascript.internet.com/contribute/)

Oh great, thanks LeeU, I expected those to be fetched from a database or something so I expected the CSS index to be the same. I will see what I think of.

Just a note ... You had said you wanted to use the links from JavaScript Source to help increase your Google PageRank. Google's PageRank also looks for similarities in the pages that are being point to (linked to). I am not sure it will help but I don't believe that it can hurt, either.

Just funny you saying that to another admin ;)

Why? We're colleagues. Co-workers. No reason not to be polite to one another when our jobs are interdependent.
