I cannot see anything linked to a non-https directory/site.

However, I get a message when I go in stating that while the certificate is valid it is not for the correct site name ('The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site'). I know this is not what you are asking, but I am wondering if this is actually the problem - none of the items off your site are considered secure because of the incorrect certificate.

While the browser prompts you whether to trust the page despite this, the images/stylesheet it maybe does not bother and just treats them as insecure?

Answering yes or no to showing insecure items appears to make no difference so if this is not the problem i dont know what is...?

HTH,
