How to send HTML in email

Hey all

To send html in an email, do I attach the HTML doc. or should I put the code right into the email?

Server-side with php (http://www.sitepoint.com/article/advanced-email-php)

Drop all of your files to the stationary folder, this is the path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery

Then in outlook select tools > options > mail format > stationary & fonts > use this stationary by default > select your html file > apply > ok

I am on a mac using outlook, I think I can figure it out from here though thanks.
