This is a very newbie graphic question, but using the gimp, how do i sort of blend together the three seperate images so the edges arent so noticable!

One method:
Make each layer around 80-90% transparency. Use a Gaussian blur on the edges and let them overlap slightly.
Another:
use the select-region-by-colour tool to take away some of the right of the left hand image and left of the right hand image, so that there are no strait edges, place both of these layers above the middle image overlap the layers just enough that you can't see any background. Apply a filter such as a light blur or "soft glow" to the whole thing.
