Totally new

I have got experience working with ASP and PHP. Also I know what are the software needed to work on ASP, PHP(That is IIS, Apache etc).

But I am totally new to the field of ASP.NET. My operating system is windows 2000 server.

So can you guide me what are software needed to execute asp.net programs on my computer.

Also how to download them and how to install them.
Can I download freely.

Alll you need to do for your server to run asp.net is download and install the .net framework. I am assuming you are already running iis, that is the server ap you are going to need to run asp.net.
