I'd like to add a podcast to my page. I'm familliar with audio production and it's no problem for me to get mp3 ready to roll.

What confuses me is this: when I go to a Podcast link with my OSX Safari brower and click all I receive is a bunch of .rss code. I have Ipodder and when I enter the url of the .rss page the podcaster understands it, but then what's the point of clicking through -- why not just post the url for users to paste into their Ipodder application?

Clearly, I'm a little confused.
Thanks if you can help.

I think what is happening is you are clicking on the rss file which is usually only used by whatever podcast tool you are using ie google, gator, itunes etc. to subscribe. You could just offer to download the mp3 file direct or embed the file in your page. up to you.
