I have been asked to interview for a fantastic Research Analyst position at a major Canadian Bank, and I need some ideas that would help 'separate me from the field' during the interview process... here are the details:
POSITION DESCRIPTION: "To carry out research, identification and recommendation of eBusiness and emerging technologies, solutions and trends which will enhance the company's leadership role in the eBusiness world and the use of technology. To promote higher knowledge and awareness of such technologies and trends as well as competitve activities to all levels of the company through continuous communication."
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: "To stay current on emerging eBusiness and technology trends. Publish and contribute to regular weekly reports, bi-weekly newsletters. Contribute to the monitoring and tracking of competitive activities pertinent to the deployment of eBusiness and emerging technologies and trends by other financial institutions and industries. Provide targeted business/technology research to units spanning across the entire company. Research, analyze and document the impact of market and technology trends on the company's competitive and technological position as compared with the other financial institutions worldwide. Identify potentially disruptive technology trends and recommend actions to address them. Contribute to the planning and co-ordination of activites around organizing the annual eBusiness Intelligence Symposium as well as monthly 'lunch and learn' sessions."
REQUIRED SKILLS: "This position requires an individual with the ability to handle several simultaneous research projects and maintain action plans in order to manage these projects, good verbal and written communication skills."
I was thinking about creating my own newsletter prior to the interview, and presenting it as an example of what I could create.
Do any of you have links to 'press release sites', or something similar that I could use to obtain material for creating a sample newsletter?
Thanks in advance for any information that you can provide. Have a nice day! JIM.
