A PHP section. Maybe a database section like a MySQL, or Access. I would prefer MySQL, but that's me. You could make it just a general SQL, or database section.
I forgot to add that a section for Flash would be good to.

Thanks for the note spufi. We probably won't add a db section here since we already have a huge database discussion forum on DatabaseJournal.com. You can get to that forum directly here:
http://forums.databasejournal.com/
and the PHP forum here:
http://www.phpbuilder.com/forum/
and of course Flash here:
http://www.flashkit.com/board/index.php
We'll probably add other forums at this site, as the need arises. Let me know what you think of the forums I listed above!
Thanks,
Scott

Well, without obvious links on this forum to those other forums you will get questions related to them spread all over the place as OT posts.
In short, add some links to a visable place.:D

Personally I still think PHP would be a good one to have, as you have ASP and CGI there.

Will do Stefan, thanks.

I think you should add a section on Java. That is a powerful language to use on the web.:)

Hi Zach,
We've got a seperate forum for Java too. :)

Well to go to those three extra forums means I have to check, and singup for four different forums. Add to the fact I'm already at Code Guru's forum (http://www.codeguru.com/forum/) and it starts to be come a lot of forum checking.
And Zach, Code Guru had a section for Java.

There aren't many people on that forum. But I guess it's better than nothing.

http://www.vbforums.com/ has a java section, not sure how busy it is.

The Java section on http://www.vbforums.com is really about Java under VB (which is Microsoft's Visual BASIC environment).
A better place for Java discussion is at CodeGuru if you're advanced....

How about a .net forum, and maybe even a C# one?

C# isn't exactly web programming but it'd be nice to have.

once again, CodeGuru is a much better place to discuss dot net and C#. you will find hundreds of programmers there ready to help and answer questions.

I don't really think you need to add any more areas here. I've only been a member for a few weeks but I got all my questions answered real fast. In short, it's nice to just come here and look at the threads about web developing. It's a nice help at work :D

A VBScript section.

I've been noticing that, when I check to see who's doing what on the board, quite often somebody is reporting a post and I cannot imagine what post and why. It would be amusing if not informative to have access to a list of the reportings.

I think you will find this feature is available already. It's called View New Posts and it appears in the upper right corner on the home page of the forums.
This is what View New Posts shows...
http://forums.webdeveloper.com/search.php?s=&action=showresults&getnew=true&searchid=4743
it's a list of the most recent messages. It's a good way to see what is absolutely, positiviely the most recent discussions.

"Ending a sentence with a proposition is an abomination up with which I shall not put.") At the end of this post and toward the right on graphical browsers if you are sighted there is a link with the text "Report this post to a moderator". I want to see what people think is naughty.
