@#$$%*$^&* Anyone else run into a crappy piece of something called "Let's Search" that installs itself into Windows/IE ? I started browsing this morning and found that it had taken over, somehow. I certainly did not download it knowingly or opt-in for it. I keep trying to remove it, it seems to reinstall itself. It throws up "File Not Found" pages for web sites I know are there. It's even giving me such messages for web files I have on my local drive. I'm not a newbie -- I know how to use my PC, uninstall software, etc.

Help! Anyone else had any similar problems? Were you able to get rid of it? It looks like it's a Japanese company... that's what came up when I searched on Google. I'm afraid to spend much time on their site -- what else will get installed without my permission?!?!!?

get yo' ass on over to download to com and get ad aware 6 (http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10186632.html?tag=lst-0-1): it detects all spyware and that malarkey on your system and gets rid of it for good. I run it about twice a week, and i find about 20 new cookies for various online tracking sites each time, despite not having been to anything untoward.

i think the first time i ran it it found over 2000 dodgy files, including about 20 quite serious mal-ware (trojan horse type stuff) - and i got this computer new in january!

Dont forget to update the data file once you've downloaded it too.
