Hi, I was wondering what would make the layout of my site better. I am keeping 2 navigation areas on pretty much for user preference. I know the code is a little jumbled up, but is the font ok? I had a graphic designer work on the header, but I am not ready to launch that yet. I have to get cards and letter head before I do that. http://esctonline.com is the site. I want to also keep the red, how do you think the color combinations are? On the main page, should I add a picture on the bottom pararaph?
So basically in your opinion, what should I do to make the apperaence look better?
Thanks guys!

The first thing that jumped out at me is you should float the image before your main content text to the left and have the paragraph text run around it.
Next, the header of the links at top seems a bit 'tall', and I wouldn't make it wider than the side menus you have going on under it. Speaking of the side menus, I like them, they look simple and clean. I'd think about adding a very subtle background color to them to make them a little more noticeable, though. Just a suggestion :)
I know you like the red, but with the 'tall' top header and the plain footer, it's a bit much. I'd perhaps just have a red <'hr'> or something a lot more subtle run along the bottom for a footer.
Other than that, it looks pretty clean. :)

Hi -
Hey, I remember this site from a few months ago! Um, you're getting there, *definitely* but at the moment, it appears to be rather a Frankenstein.
There's the 'old-school' 1993 header [that will hopefully be changing, soon], a minimalist-business-like feel with the grid and red and typeface, then the odd table data with blue and yellow. The gray, black and red look nice together - but all of the blues for links, and crazy font colors just don't gibe.
Overall, it seems too sleek and not very fun, if you know what I mean. Now that you're getting some skills together, I'd stop working with that old layout and just try something fresh and new. Maybe keep the header that's coming and play for awhile before finalizing your design.
Just opinion, but keep going...
