Free programs?!

Anyone knows about any good program do graphics to a web site?
I have used paint :eek: and its just awfull...

I don't want to use any money on this so it has to be free...

Have you tried Google?

ive heard gimp is pretty awesome. never used it myself.

I can be a bit expensive, but i think you will find Adobe Photoshop is perfect Image editing software - thats what i use.

Or you can use Macromedia Fireworks, have not had much experience with that though.

All of these but one are free, just enter the program name for a Google search:
1. GIMP [and get Grokking the GIMP to help you learn the techniques...]
2. Photo Filtre [simple photo editor, some text & effects - no layers tho.]
3. Inkscape [fantastic vector graphics program, export as .png to use.]
4. Photoline32 [about $76 but has a lot of functionality.]
