convert wmv files

I was wondering if there is ANY way to convert wmv files to gif....w/o having to buy software. i prefer online converters, but those are hard to find. even converting wmv to wma to etc would be fine. the least amount of steps as possible of course, but, I have this wonderful windows movie maker and if i cant convert to gif I doubt I'll use it more than once. any suggestions anybody?

I found thru tripod cgi. not sure if it works... good luck... I go through videowave (new verz) to be certain or jet audio... PMP
