Hello!
I am currently working on an Intranet site for my company and wish to include links to files currently on our server. In order to protect/secure all documents i wish to protect them in a way that they can look and print documents but not do anything else to them.
I was wondering what the best way to do this was, any ideas??? :D

You have to give permission for read only. It can be done through settings on Web Server like IIS, Apache etc.

That allows read-only does it? but does that allow the user to save it in a different way or under a different name??? i need it to be non-replicable (if thats how u spell it?). only the user can edit it!

also another thing i am 'tryin' to setup is a sort of search engine for drawings. does anyone have a set of HTML coding, etc that i could use to implement this??? all i want to be able to do is type the drawing number in a text box and the drawing will load in an appropriate viewing program, we have ACDSee for example! Help would be appreciated!

would the search feature also be possible with VB coding? im doing the intranet in MS word (as we have got nothing better to use) so this wouldn't be a problem to implement some kind of vb form/coding, would it?
