I am on windows 2000 advanced server (for my server of course). I recently reformated but when I went to windows update to download my wad of much needed patches update said
Windows Update Error
Windows Update has encountered an error. This may be due to a discrepancy in your computer's time setting.
To check your date and time setting:
On the taskbar, double-click the time.
Verify that the date and time is correct.
You can also get online support if you are having problems with Windows Update.
Send error number to Microsoft (0x800C0008)
Note This sends error information but does not create a support incident; you may or may not receive a response.
I checked msdn for that error message 0x800c0008. It basically said to check my certs, make sure ssl is enabled, and make sure my date and time are correct. Well all of those were fine of course... all default, but for some reason I still cannot get my updates. I am not going to let this box run for any length of time without the neccessary updates.
Any ideas?
