how to target frame?

i am gratefully using the top navigational menu from dynamic drive.

unfortunately when an option is selected from the top navigational menu in the top frame it is meant to display in the main frame but is not happening?

I have tried all target commands including the one from the dynamic drive help section to no avail?

What is the target command?

Below is the code i have.

I have entered target=mainframe but it still does not work.

menu.addSubItem("newsid", "news", "CNN", "news.htm", "target=mainframe");

Any help would be appreciated please.

unless its clear that how menu.addSubItem works and how the other html code iworks its almost impossible to give you a asolution from what you have mentioned here.

Or post a link to the menu which u are suing so that some one can take a look at it.
