Hi all,

Well, I have a "rush" quote to give a customer. (about 48 hours). I have a few weeks to turn around the project but need to know if this is do-able.

I have used Flash in the past but not as much as I'd like. I am very familiar with the basics etc. but NOT too much with action script. Still, I like to learn.

PROJECT:

I need to create a SPINNING GLOBE that allows a web user to hover the mouse over it to cause it to halt (preferably slow and halt) on a specific region, and then allow them to click on that region and go to the html page for their regional services.

Keep in mind to do not have a specific glove graphic at this point. Also, if it helps, I have SWIFT 3-D.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

I would suggest modeling the globe in swift 3d, make it spin for 1 rotation, and then export that to flash. Thats the easy part.

Next, I would study this flash file and others like it http://www.layoutgalaxy.com/html/htmnewletter49-page1.htm

Its similar to what you want to do, you could probably tweak the action script to suit your needs.

*On a side note this seems like a bad way to navigate through a website. If the globe is small then the regions will be hard to see. And if the globe is large then it will take a long time to load.

good luck!
