yes there is ,

try something like this

Open Internet Explorer.
Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
In Internet Options dialog box select the Security tab.
Click Custom level button at bottom right. The Security settings dialog box will pop up.
Under Scripting category check Active Scripting, and Allow paste options via script and Scripting of Java applets
Check radio boxes.

This should disable/enable javascript in IE

Thank you for the quick response.....

Actually, only Active Scripting needs to be disabled. I had it disabled in the Internet zone but not in the Intranet zone which is where I was when I was testing a script before uploading it to the server.
