My home internet is down, is there away that i can work with textpattern with a home mysql database and upload the information at a later time. Although my internet is down, i still want to be able to design my website with TXP and i can't seem to find any documentation to do it from home.

yes, install apache/mysql/php on your computer, then textpattern. And you're on your way :)

Also, unless you have a program to transfer files back and forth already, I'd suggest using Firefox and FireFTP to transfer your files; easy to use and since FireFTP integrates into firefox its nice and convenient. Its what I use.
