Check the temperature. I used to have that problem--I checked my temperature and it was super high because there was too much dust clogging up the my 6 fans. :p

I have done that and it seems fine.

What else can be done?

Hi babblesrusso,
If it's not a browser hijack program or other spyware/virus program..then...
I agree with BuezaWebDev re: Check the temperature. ..
get a temp check program & check it for sure..
If the temp is REALLY OK.. then you got some other hardware problem that needs troubleshooting.. could be almost anything..
Do some more basic troubleshooting.. & post back here with the good news OR for more help.
Hope this helps :)

I deleted the Goggle Toolbar and it seems that things started working fine. Then today, the browser crashed again within 30 minutes of turning on my computer. I was reading my emails.

I did blow all the dust out of the compartment and my son checked the temperature and it was reading fine.

I am really illiterate when it comes to troubleshooting. I know how to add and delete programs and run the computer but dont know nothing about anything else.

I have read in other forums that the drivers may not have the current updates, that IE (Microsoft) is working on some new updates, etc.

I am really at a loss for what to do next. I am a webmaster for several PTR sites and need my computer working properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again.

Hi again babblesrusso,
Computer crashes can be caused by just about anything..THE TYPE OF CRASH YOU DESCRIBE IS ALMOST ALWAYS CAUSED BY HARDWARE PROBLEMS THE MAJORITY OF TIMES..... it's useless to just speculate..
You can use the troubleshooting flowcharts at my website to do a basic system hardware check. Be sure to read everything & go thru it step-by-step.
Take notes on what you find out.
Post back here with the results &/or for more help.
