Comp Opinion

Hey, I made this comp for my personal website and I wanted to get the opinion of what ppl thought before I started coding it, well here goes nothing:

I don't go for the colors too much. It needs a bit of origininality.

Those green gradients could look pretty cool, though.

what do you mean by orignality, I spent like an hour gettin those colours right, lol oh well I i'll just use it anyways.

Its got nothing over the other 1,000,000,000,000 blogs out there. A small header, a "blogroll" down one side, and a small footer. It looks the same with different colors.

well then what could I add to give some originality?

I would suggest something other than the boxed layout.

well im using the main container still but im doing a slightly different conent layout ;)

Alright. I will see how it comes out when you get it into HTML.

You have done a good job. It's important to remember there is more to good web design than valid XHTML. ;)

lol yes I know that and I changed the layout a little ... might add a news feed or something.

buntine is right by saying it lacks originality.
BUT, at least, you didn't put a picture of some random flower in your header, and you don't have this white / gray / metallic gradient everywhere...
I love the colors, although I'm not too sure for the blue in the background...

You know, to be original nowadays, you have to drop the usual basic layout : header, menu on one side, main content on the other side, footer...
But, when you do something different, people think your site is weird... ( look at mine, for example... looks like nothing around, but people aren't sure about it )
Go for the colors. They are good.

well I knew that, im changing the layout of the content and everything....like where everything goes...also designgin my own logo...im adding more than just a blogroll ;)
