I have created a website but do not know how to get it listed with the most popular search engines???

What do i need to implement to have this site on search engines?

Any help would be appreciated.

It depends upon whether you are willing to pay money, etc. One option would be to manually Summit your site to the Engine in question for example: http://www.google.com/addurl.html

Forgive me as i am new to search engine listings.

How do i go about listing a website for free or if i am willing to pay??

I have seen some website design companies offer listings to most of the main search engines.

How can i do this, even if i am willing to pay?

Hope you can help me?

Thanks in advance.

If you can have your HTML document archived in an FTP directory which is often free or provided by an Internet Service Provider like AOL, then using the <META KEYWORD> tag should eventually get the page wedged with a number of Search Engines. With every idle nano-second of time, the search engines scan and up-date all the keyword metas and even as fast as they do this, it may take a while to get your page recognised. Free FTP space can sometimes also be anonymus.
