And setup a web server for me at your house? I'll pay for network connection and all you gotta do is set it up :D

I will send the equipment (just one small tower + UPS)

Or you could just ... you know, pay for some web hosting like everyone else does. Or do you plan on absolutely caining this server? In which case you could just get dedicated hosting.

I would be "paying" for hosting -- I would be paying for my connection, power and on top of that providing a little kick back to someone for their assistance. Assuming I find someone willing to do it, it works out better for me to do it this way.

Well, I have no idea how to go about doing all the server stuff and don't have anyone I'd recommend.

However, take a look at the following list of results from Google:
http://www.google.com.hk/search?q=Hosting+in+Hong+Kong&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official

Maybe you'll find something there? And, btw, ignore the marketing hype of 'number one hosting services' and 'we are the cheapest', etc. (^_^) (But, it is true that we have high-speed hosting -- the vast majority of people are on broadband; dial-up is in the tiniest minority now.)

(And yes, I love HK. (^_^) )

Hehehe, no worries, Sparq.

Yes, I know you want someone willing to let you set up a server, but... well, I had no recommendations, hence the hosting suggestion. (^_^) You might look for Hong Kong IT forums and post your question there?
