I'm so confused... I thought Javascript was embedded in your browser - IE or Netscape, etc. However, when i take javascript that works perfectly fine on the web and embed it into my local pages (I'm running PHP/Apache on my laptop), it doesn't work.

Do i have to install something so that Javascript will work locally?
