The maximum signature character length is 500. I think it is too small. Can it be increased to 1000 characters? I can't even post long URLs like:

http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?go=1&do=nw&rmm=1&un=m&cl=EN&ct=NA&rsres=1&1ahXX=&1y=US&1a=1762+Westwood+Blvd&1c=Los+Angeles&1s=CA&1z=90024-5632&2ahXX=&2y=US&2a=5314+Glasgow+Ct&2c=Los+Angeles&2s=CA&2z=90045-2210

into my signature because they require too many characters...
My signature isn't even that big up and down but requires a lot of code to make. For example the code for the letter "U" of Ultimater in my signature:(U)

U

Some may agree and some may disagree so I posted a poll.

No, if anything it should be shorter. It's just supposed to be a little blurb of text, not a transcript of War and Peace.

you could just make a link to a page called "important links"

You know, I was thinking about that, but It would be a pain to have to pop up a window for links like:

javascript:void(function(){var els=document.getElementsByTagName("table");var t=[];for(var i=0;i<els.length;i++){if(/post.+/.test(els[i].id))t[t.length]=els[i].id}alert(t.join("\n"))}())
