Hi, everyone!
please, mock my latest work
http://www.siriustechnology.com/sites/guardianautoservice
please, note that it is not a live site yet, contact form is not active yet.
Don't kick me too hard, "I'm sensitive and I'd like to stay this way".
Constructive suggestions needed.

All the aesthetics look good. My recommendations would be to use CSS for layout instead of tables, and make sure the page validates under HTML 4.01 Strict. http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.siriustechnology.com%2Fsites%2Fguardianautoservice%2F

Hi Daria...
I think it looks great!
I also have to agree with Jeff that the nested tables should be substituted with CSS (after all... you must have had a few frustrating experiences debugging those pages up to this point already, right?)
Otherwise, it's cool.
And I live in the NYC area.
So... what can you get me for my 1975 Jeep CJ5?
(just kidding. my Jeep was a graduation hand-me-down present and i'll drive it till it quits for good. plus... it's older that I am! But anyway... your in Northern Jersey? Me to. I'm in Westwood. Where are you?)
Good luck!
;) k
You'll probably notice in time anyway, but a few times on the contact form you say "your" when you mean "you".
In terms of style I think it's cool - and tables are fine anyway!

Don't listen to Geat, he tried to steal the ring from Frodo :D
Get it, because his picture is of Boromir and...
Anyways,
Your questionnaire could use some pictures or something to make it less boring. I know you said it wasn't active yet so maybe this is something your looking into.
Other than that I think it looks nice and stylish.

It wasn't my fault - I fell under the influence of the ring's power.
And now I'm dead...

Thanks, guys! You all are so supportive!
sweeet..
anyway, I have a Q:
if you look at http://www.siriustechnology.com/sites/guardianautoservice/services.html page in NS4 (I think it's pretty much fool-proof way to check for problems), you'll see that background image (Guardian Auto Service) tripples on the bottom... I know it is not the size of the image, since that table is set for 375, and image for 400. It's some other kind of a glitch. Anyone knows why it happens?
jeffmot: tables vs.CSS - I'm getting there, I'm not that confident with it yet, but I will start working on it. Meanwhile, I don't mind this particular site done with tables at least for a reason of doubting any sight-impared people will go shopping for a car.
Geat: I'll also do the spell-check and such - thanks for pointing it out.
havik: questionnaire is pretty much it (except for spelling and repetitions) design-wise. maybe I'll throw in a little color...
khaki - I am very, very close to you (whispering: "I know where you live!!!!!!!!); I can't tell you much about 1975 Jeep, I'll have to ask the guy I am doing the site for, but being a fellow jeep owner I want to pass my smooches to you! :)
Thanks, people.

NEVER MIND the image issue
I forgot I had another table in that page (here is to people who a con-tables!)
I forgot to set that nested tables bkgr. in transparent.gif.
anyway, I'll just do it with <nobr> for those 3 lines.

What program do you use to make your page?
How did you set you page text so that a user cannot change the text size> This something I am trying to work with because I have a lot of problems with tables... which may push me into the realm of CSS, whihc I have no experience with what-so-ever. In fact I had to lookup CSS just to see what the heck it stands for.
I think the page looks fantastic. Vert clean... defintely not junky looking like mine. But then again you probably have way more experience than I do.

I used DW4 for that one (you can tell by all the quotations :)) plus some manual tweaking.
to answer your question, yes, CSS helps to "stabilize" the fonts, (I AM SOO tired of those size="-1"s!)
However, I'm self-teaching (oxymoron, huh!), so I can tell you what I do, but chances are it is not the right way to go.
There are plenty of guys here who know this stuff. Try CSS forum.
thanks for the compliments to the design, but I cannot take a full credit - it's a pretty popular layout... You know, photography rule of two/thirds...
