Who first invented SSI? To the best of my knowledge (though I don't remember where I heard this or how accurate it was) is that it started as an Apache module and was later integrated into other servers due to its popularity.

I did a little quick research on this for you Jeff... and the answer that I came up with is:

The National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA)

(and there have been many derivatives of it since)

the results of my research shouldn't necessarily be considered definitive... so it might be best use this information as a base towards confirming it's accuracy :rolleyes: .
