Well your JS menu is the kind search engine bots don't read, so you might consider changing that. It will only follow the visible links, not the ones you write to the doc. with that script.

try to get as many backlinks as possible, so basically just do link exchanges or you can even pay $5-10/mo from sites and get high PR links. this is self advertising though but if you want read some of the articles on my site in sig.

Do yourself a favor, develop orginal content and you will get people coming to your site. I would not care trying to find ways of people getting there, I would develop a reason for people to go there. Cheating with Link Exchages can get you in trouble, search engines are know to dump people for that.

Well i might of went overboard, yea dont join link farms or get too crazy with the link exchanges. If you can create some good and original content, visitors will come *almost* by themselves.

The real secret to getting high ranks is to blog with orginal content. I started to blog on new topics and saw my hits go from <2K a day to over 6K+. All you need is content that is good and orginal and they will come.

I would like to suggest you that to gain more and more traffic here after, you should first make your base strong I mean with your local market where you can get instant response and your reputation among your local community will grow. Once your base will become strong then "Word of Mouth" will help you a lot and also you can get a good response from google adwords too. Exchanging links with competitors is not wrong as search engines do take care of that and you get very high ranking.

The real key to getting people to visit any web site is to

1. Provide content that they want to see and

2. Once you have done step 1 then tell people about it.

Work on getting a lot of quality backlinks with your targeted keywords as the anchor text on these links. This will push you up in the Google SERPS, and drive in more traffic. The free directories are a good place to start.

Also, change that link in yer sig, so that the anchor text, is a keyword that is relevant to your site. What this does, is create new backlinks every time you post, which Google and other search engines will pick up, and in turn, increase your search rankings. But without the keyword on the link, it doesn't help much at all, because search rankings go by the phrases that people type in. So if these search engines don't know what yer site is about, than they won't know what search results to list it on. :)
