This is newbie question but in a search engine query for example a google search below for "phpadsnew" where does it pull the text "A free advertising management platform, based on phpads." from?

I know it usually pulls the text from somewhere on the page but not in this case.

example:
_______________
Welcome to phpAdsNew / Open-source ad server
A free advertising management platform, based on phpads.
www.phpadsnew.com/ - 8k - Cached - Similar pages
_______________

Thanks, Marty

Normally, the text comes from the meta description tag, but not in this case (there is no meta description tag).

Many times the description tag will be pulled from the Google Directory See here (http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Software/Internet/Servers/Advertising/)

Yeah, it's easy enough to drop a google search script on this website I'm doing for a non-profit - but they can not have any ads on the site. I'm VERY new at this and need something that will do simple searches of the website. Anyone have or know of such an animal? thanks
