hi all, hope you can help.
i'm using <img src="image.jpg"> to link an image and i have placed the image
in the same folder as my web page link but all i get is a red x in a box?
ive tried re-naming image to .jpeg and .gif but still no luck. please help
if you can

Erm.. I don't suggest renaming the file type.. It should work if the webpage and the image is in the same folder. Like, both of them can be seen on your screen at the same time.

i have the image and web page link sitting in a folder in "my documents"i can see them in the folder.
i open the web page up write the new image code <img src="name of image.jpg">
but still get this lousy red cross...seems like it dosnt recognise it.

just worked out what i was doing wrong. you were right. i was naming the images
in the folder with .jpeg or .gif on the end. without the suffix in the folder
they come up on the web page ok...thank heaps lone..live long and prosper.
