Hi There,
I have recently finished the website for the design company I work for: http://www.m360.co.uk/ and would greatly appreciate any suggestions on the design, user-friendliness or any way’s the website can be improved!
I am aware that there may be 1 or 2 small bugs in there and I know it is not quite optimised for 800x600 resolution but any feedback will be great! :)
Thanks
Tom
Hi, TElliott -
Hmmm... an all Flash site. It's impressive, in its own right, but I don't know how user-friendly it will be. Some visitors may not have the correct Flash plug-ins, or have dial-up modems = not good. Seems that you should at least have some HTML, in case the Flash doesn't load correctly.
As to the design itself, the text is really small on my screen, and I'm actually wearing my glasses today. (Thank goodness it gets larger "onmouseover").
The bullet clicks aren't very obvious - I didn't know they were links until I happened to brush over them with my mouse. Many of your prospective clients will not take the time to do this.
Something else that isn't obvious is that I have to put my mouse over the image slice to get a really shaky view of it. Kind of annoying. (What's up with the moon suit guy? How does that tie into your business?)
You might rethink the design to something a little less Flashy, and something a little more to the point and user-friendly.
I don't mean to sound like a witch - it's just that as a potential employer, I would be far more impressed with a company that tested well as a user-friendly site, rather than one that tests me.
Good Luck!

I think the biggest issue was with the menu. It ranges from small to tiny in spots. There is a lot of movement going on and I would hate to test this site on a dial up connection.

Well, I'm not much on the use of all flash, but in concept towards what your company is and does flows in the thinking og your site as well.
As for dailup users, in the case of your company, not sure that is an issue I'd be worried about, though if would load like a snail on a dailup dino. On my cable connection here from canada it loaded like a dream on both fox and ie.
While the interactive part is fun and if as a client I was looking for that of what your company offers, I would leave rather pleased with the experience on a whole.
As a webmaster, flash just is not my taste, but found it well placed in what you showcased,,,now, if this was the dino ages and alll was dailup,,,then,,,the story would change :)
