Finally done

Hey folks. I checked in here a few months ago looking for advice, and I took what everybody said and have (finally) finished redoing my site.

It is not completely done: The pages in the prep girls area have not been converted into css, and the Edgewood College/MATC link is bad. Those just need to be done.

But there are some other problems I don't know how to fix.

The biggest one is that the menu on the left and the sidebar on the right shift up a bit when some pages are initially loaded. A reload fixes it -- unless there is a photo on the page. Then it remains wrong. Can anybody help me with this?

Also, I would appreciate any other comments and suggestions.

One thing about images, make sure you define their sizes. It also helps if you define them in px. You currently aren't doing this. Pages will shift around as the images load unless you specifically say what the size of the image is suppose to be.

Images are too large to download. Anyway design is very week, I must say there is no design, just data is put here n there.

Overall, it looks nice, but 'breaks' at a smaller screen resolution - the right side just disappears. [Putting sizes and alt tags on images should be an automatic IMHO!] You've done a pretty good job of organizing the info. for users - esp. such a large number of links.

Think the header and right/left sides are okay, but that center section is very 'chunky' looking - the center alignment doesn't help and the images are way too big - how about thumbnails to some larger versions or just aim for 'small to medium' for all?

Don't remember the prior design, but this is a pretty good start...

Not sure if you're aware of this, but your poll isn't working. Also it would be better to have the poll underneath the menu, rather than on top.

Thanks for the feedback.

1. I have started to put sizes and alt tags on all images.

2. Any advice on how to fix the "break" on the right side?

3. As far as the images being too big, what size should I be shooting for?

4. I think the poll and message board problems are from my server -- they worked last night. I'm checking that out right now.

My concern on the location of the poll is that I want people to be able to find it, and I'm worried that if it's under the menu it will get lost.
