I've found myself in the situation where I need to edit absouletely hundreds of images. Each image I need 2 create a version of it at 400xcorrect proportion, and add the prefix "_large.jpg" to that image, and a smaller version set at 100xcorrect prop.

I've been suggested photoshop, but can't say I really need all the extras.

Can anyone recommend a simple freeware program that could do the above?

Hi -
Photo Filtre is free and could do about 90% of what you want it to. The only thing you'd have trouble with is adding a suffix to the file name - it only gives you a naming preference for prefix, and just adds the .ext to that.

Good luck,
