I find this rather interesting. It seems that everyone I know uses the mouse with the right hand. Whereas I find it natural to use the mouse with the left hand (despite being right-handed).
Firstly, the keyboard is longer on the right side due to the numpad, so the mouse would sit too far. Then, all the important keys (home, delete, arrows, enter) are on the right hand.
CTRL-C, CTRL-V are on the left so that would seem a disadvantage, but I have set up windows to use the F7...F9 keys instead.
All in all, the left hand is the logical hand to use the mouse with. Anyone else reached the same conclusion?

I usually write with my right hand but am left handed with everything else. Use the mouse with my left hand.

Is that because they forced you to in school? Because that was the practice yrs ago here in the US. Wondered if it was the same in Aus.

Right handed, and i hold it with my right. But do you agree that it makes more sense to hold it with the left?
Left handed, ambidextrous with the mouse.

Right handed but about 85% left, 15% right with the mouse. Switched to the left several years ago when my right wrist started aching due to overuse.

Use the mouse with my right hand, but I try to use keyboard shortcuts whenever possible so I don't have to use the darned thing and take my hands away from the keyboard.

Actually though, I feel that the right hand is more logical.
I can cover the important left side of the keyboard with my left hand and then if I need to hit enter or something I generally find myself doing it with the enter button on the number pad. I also type all of my numbers with the number pad just because that is infinatly faster and I am very good with a number pad because I was a tool guy at sears but I was working the register a whole lot so I have a lot of experience with that.

I got a MS Natural keyboard, it installs with software that lets you do that.

i once saw a person who used the mouse turned backwards. kinda hard to describe, but imagine the buttons were in your palm instead. it was the weirdest thing. i tried it, its crazy. she said she learned that way and can't go to the normal way of holding it.
on and it was the right hand....

I'm left handed but (write with my left) but do everything else right handed. I use the mouse with my right hand.
As for hot keys (God's gift to computer users:)) I use my left hand for them and don't take my right hand off the mouse. I've got big hands so I can do that.
I can easily six duck eggs at once (Duck eggs > Store bought chicken eggs)

I'm right handed but I can use the mouse with my left or right hand, when I'm sitting down at a PC I'll use my right hand though. The only time when I use my left is if I'm standing next to someone who has a PC problem and I'm fixing it for them. Obviously I'm better with my right hand than with my left since I use it more.
I can also use the mouse when the monitor upside down as I found out recently, the monitor base was broken so we just turned it upside down temporarily as a reminder to fix it, but in the meantime I had to ghost the hard drive.
My mouse would be kind of difficult to use with the left hand as it's shaped to fit the right hand, it's the Logitech MX510 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/GB/EN,CRID=2142,CONTENTID=7982) and it's awesome, but I think I want to get the G5.

Yeah that's the one I have. With all those buttons, combined with mouse gestures, the only thing you need a KB for is actually typing text.

I use the mouse right handed, and am right handed. The only keyboard shortcuts I tend to use are copy & paste. On a QWETRY keyboard, this is easiest with your left hand, C and V are on the left. Also, the pointer makes a lot more sense right handed.
And numpad rawks.

Dude, k3w3l mouse!
This is mine (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F004%5F002%5F005%5F002&product%5Fid=26%2D762) & I LOVE it!
I don't need to replace dead batteries for my mouse but only for my keyboard. I've been using it since January and I haven't needed to change batteries once since then (And the ones I put in were nearly dead:))
Lets hear it for wireless keyboards and mice!

Haha I was so going to say that!!! If im not busy i use right hand on the mouse, but if im busy i prefer to use the right hand for that and then the left takes over, but there usually isnt much to be done with the left at that point in time, except click play again... oh, maybe too much information :p
and yes, i am joking!!!!!!!!
