Temporary IP Ban

I'm just curious if anyone else here was temporarily banned this morning. I suspect I was amongst a block of possible IP's the forum was trying to ban.

I think it's just sever problems, i've had difficulties accessing the site as well.

Well, maybe so, but I was redirected to a page that told me I was banned and that page also said to contact the admin. Probably just a glitch?

Sounds like you are on dial-up or have a relative IP Address, if you are assigned an IP Address which is banned on the forums, that's what happens. You should report the IP Address which you were using cas' there is no sense banning a relative IP Address because the banned person can just create a new User Name cas' their IP Address changes -- which the whole point of banning the IP Address altogether is to prevent him/her from creating any additional ones.

Well, I know how the protocol works, I just thought it was very strange that I encountered that for a mere minute.

You mean you didn't reconnect, you got in during the same session that you got the banned message? That is very peculiar. If you want to PM me the IP I'll see if it's banned or not
