[The Little Guy]

I am making a page for my neighbor, he hasn't seen it yet, so before I show him, what do you think about it? He is a photographer and its for his business. None of the links work yet, but some of the links have dropdown menu's. Here is the temporary link to the page, until we upload it to his server.

Kudos for no tables ;-)
But won't fit on an 800x600 screen and doesn't fill the space that effectively on a larger resolution - all is crammed up at the top. Those 3 boxes of content: navigation - slide shows - his info, are too similar to one another. Consider varying the size to suit the purpose of it / fill the space a bit better - and getting a simple form up instead of his e-mail, etc.

Was that his logo on the top left of the header? Perhaps scrap it - doesn't really show up that well [very tiny & on a pattern]. Try something that utilizes that round pic below to use w/in a bolder header.

The scrolling links are different... might consider embedding the .swf files in .html pages so that more viewers will be able to view them.

I'm sure he'll be pleased w/ it when you're done tweaking!

The problem is that, that is his logo, and he wants it on his site, on all the pages, so what should I do about that? I want it to be transparent, but the gif extension just distorts it, how could I fix that problem?

Well, I'd bring the original into my fave. vector graphics program, draw a new, clean version on top of it, & group the lot when finished.
You'll get something precise that you can enlarge to your heart's
content - then export it to whatever format you'd like to use.

i just go a vector program, but I don't know how to import the image into it so I can trace it. Im using Zoner Draw 4 (the trial version) do you know if I could get a free version somewhere?
