Help!!!

I don't know how to make a link to another section of my page.

like in Yahoo when you click on the link "Games" it takes you to another part of the web site.

I have tryed doing that but I cant get it to work.

To make a link, you do it like this:

<a href="yourfilename.htm">Your link description</a>

When I try it a page comes up saying cannot find server.

You probably have your link wrong then. Is the file that you are linking to in the same directory? If so, then you just put the file name. If it is in a sub-directory, you need to go directory/file.ext. If it is in a higher directory, you go ../file.ext.

I did exactly what you said and the same thing I still get the error.

Post a link to the page where you are doing this...

sometimes you must have the filename case-sensitive.

i dont think that i have made the site accessable by people other than me.

That page is located on your own computer and not on the internet, you must upload it to your web-area (most people get web-area from their Internet Service Provider) first. :)

and Sign up for a free web site.

When you figure out how it works, it might pay off to find a place without popups, wich geocities & hypermart have. :)
But it's nice to test your webpage there.
