Can someone tell us how can we let user click(just one click) on an image on a web page and the image will stick to the mouse pointer and be able to be moved around the page until user clicks again to drop the image to whichever position the point is at?

We've search through heaps of sites and just can't find anything that can help us, if someone can at least tell us where abouts we can find such information it'll be greatly appreciated.

I have a demo page at http://gil.davis.home.att.net/followmouse.htm . It doesn't currently use an image, but you can put anything inside the moving DIV. Also, it is more like a drag'n drop than a click-to-stick. It could be changed to do that, though, as well.

I could use some help with it. Maybe I should start a new thread?

There is a strange behaviour in IE 5.5 that I could use help with. When you drag the block to the right edge, the block squeezes and the horizontal scroll bars do a dance. When you drag it to the bottom edge, the vertical scrollbars do a dance.

Also, in NS 4.x you have to click the edge to grab it. If you get the I-beam cursor, forget it - you can't grab it.
