Sounds like a scam or spam, but it's not. Hey, I'm a moderator, believe me. For Opera's 10'th anniversary, they're offering free registration, which I've just picked up along with Opera 8.02. Works beautiful, really, my only major issue with Opera is the advertising if you don't pay to register. But today, you can get it free.

W00t freeness!
Cool, even though I never use Opera (or plan to) I'll take one, please.

I've always LOVED Opera.

Well now that I have an ad-free version I'm willing to give it a try. But if I were to find myself an opera lover, I still wouldn't pay for registration. And in terms of ads, well, I plain just don't look at them. I mean, I see ads, I just don't look at them. It's as if I've trained myself to ignore anything that looks like an ad.

No, it's for real. I got the reg for my copies as well. I only use opera to check our sites in it but at least that banner isn't there and the toolbar is a smaller footprint now.

Actually I've come to dislike Opera more than IE over my time in web dev. I mean at least with IE you are pretty certain about where and how it jeffs up. Opera just does it at random.
I'll have me free reg mind...

Well, I've found Opera 8 to be a lot better than the version 7.something-or-other I had been testing in previously. Better improvements probably than IE 7 will have.

I downloaded it, but I am too late it seems. But I fully intended to keep using ff anyway.

Yes, I should add that it is over now, it was merely a one day party thing.
