Hi -
Not too bad a start, but the page splits apart at a larger screen resolution, and the gray background isn't doing much for it when it does! The header is okay but the name of the site should probably take up more of the available space - plus, it contradicts with the hard to read logos below as to what the name of the site is. [Your login page should probably match the main page layout more, as well.]

Many here will tell you that using frames is a no-no, and try to get your meta tags completed - description="" and keywords="" are the current versions...

Good luck & have fun,
El

Where's the content?

Agreeing with spufi, but have to say that this is a good first effort. Nice work with the graphics! (But... aren't those team logos protected by copyright? You might check on that....)

Also have to agree with LJK about the gray background - it really goes against your design, making it appear like something didn't load correctly and "all I got was this crummy background."

Don't know if you've tested this out in IE or with a monitor setting of 1024x768. If not, you might take a look. The alignment settings (or lack thereof) makes everything disjointed. (Screenshot attached.)

Good Luck!

Yeah the logos are protected but i'm going to put in credit for them once i get it done. What do u think i should do with the background i really dont have any idea...the blue color i'm using in the iframes doesnt look that good in my opion and a background image might not look 2 good either...

I dont have much on the site yet casue i've been trying to get the other links done and its slowing down the process but once i get that done i'm thinking about adding a thing from the chicago bears website (see attachment) but i have no clue how to do it...i know it uses Flash and i downloaded the trail but i dont know were to go from there so any help i'm gratfull for.

Hmmmm.... You might try creating your own content, rather than copying others. Not to be a witch, but using other people's work as a basis for your website is outright copyright infringement. Crediting the source doesn't protect you either. You need documented permission from the original creator before you can post things freely without any kind of liability.

For more information about copyright, visit my agency's page at http://kdla.ky.gov/libsupport/libwebhelp/copyright.htm.

Just a word from the wise: people rarely use directories or websites with directory-like functions. Instead they just use Google to find what they're looking for - cuts out the "middle man." I wouldn't spend too much time researching other people's stuff, and stick to creating your own unique information/service.

Good Luck -

i suggest if you want to keep those images/logos, and stay on the side of the law, you put an ALT text into the picture. Saying where the picture came from and all. But im not sure if Freewebs.com lets users to taht. When a viewer puts their crosshairs over the image, the text will show.

I don't know if it's just me, but it's taking an AWFULLY long time for the images to load. In fact, I'm not even sure if they ARE going to load...

Sorry but you asked for expert advice, didnt you, meaning you want to know everything that is wrong or incorrect with the site in all forms, including code... Well there are plenty of errors, check the validator (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=www.freewebs.com%2Fall_basketball%2Findex.htm)
