Hi everyone,

I would very much appreciate a critique of my "homepage" (and/or anything else)!

http://www.candylandcrafts.com/

My web site offers many different products for cake decorating and candy making (the principle focus) and soap making (a minor player). About 1/2 of 1% of my visitors wind up placing orders.............. it has been as high as 3%. I think this is lousy. In an attempt to try to improve this I recently installed a new drop down menu navigation system.

However I suspect my home page (and other pages, as I use shared left borders) may have "information overload", or is otherwise unattractive.

What's your opinion? Would you be prone to "stay" or "leave"......why?.............. any ideas on what I could do to make more people feel that Candyland Crafts IS a fun place to be and has just what they are looking for???

Thanks very much for your opinion! :-)

Doesn't really catch the eye, and yes, it is a bit overloaded with information. The font should be a little bigger, and the smiley really looks very unprofessional.

Wow! You've got a lot of cool content. I'll definately look to your site for craft ideas!
That list where you name all the projects I think you should make into another page?
I kinda do agree about the smiley. It looks cool, but unprofessional.
Overall, I like it!
