why is the time allowed between posts so long?
20 or 30 sec would be great! :D

It's a spam control measure. Slows em down and gives us a chance to ban em before they cover the entire forum with spam.

yeah, kinda makes sense,
its a shame for answering multiple thread in a short interval on multiple windows or tabs

i didnt notice much spaming on these forums, actually i can only recall one incident

Actually we have a thread graveyard where spam threads go to die, and there's well over 1,100 threads in it. So we definitely get em.
