Im just looking to find a RSS feed that contains live sports scores.
I have looked all over ESPN, CNN, etc and cant find a feed that only includes sport scores. They mostly contain headline news.
I was just curious to see if anyone knew of a feed that only contains sports scores, either NFL, MLB, NHL etc.
Thanks.

check out this site for football stats: http://www.qorg.org/myffl_dev/
I guess this guy just parsed all the stats and game scores with perl or something and made his own feed. I don't know if that helps
An easier way out would probably be to use yahoo: http://sports.yahoo.com/top/rss

i actually kind of found out a little information on this. There are actual companies that are in the business of sports Stats and scores.
In looking it seems that sites like msn, yahoo, espn, cnn, fox sports, etc buy this information from a company that sends it in a CSV.
You then read the information in and display all of partial infromation, all depending on how you want it displayed.
I was thinking about just parsing a web site that had the scores on it but it could be alot of work and not really worth it. It was just for my personal web site and i really just want to display the cardinals score on my web site as i use my web site as my everyday page for new and information.

yeah. there's tons of news feeds. Seems weird that they wouldnt want to share the scores.
I think that site i gave the link to is planning on getting more than just football in the future but i'm not really sure

i agree but my initial thinking is this.
It could become time consumeing to crunch all the numbers and somebody somewhere is sitting around watching all the games and updating the stats as they happen.
Sites such as Fox Sports, ESPN, etc. pay for the ability to get these (althought im sure they already have them as i bet there is some deal they have for both there web site and there tv stations). These companines pay for them to help direct traffic to there web site. If just any joe has access to the scores and can put them up on his own sports web site, then why do i need to visit Fox Sports, ESPN, etc to get my sports update. So i think this is all just business to help bring traffic to a web site, these companies pay another company for this service and in return get exclusive rights to scores and stats in the way that there just not available to the public for free.
or something along these lines.
